• COMMUNING WITH MOTHER NATURE - EDUCATION OUTSIDE THE WALLS OF THE CLASSROOM

While the classroom may be viewed as the epicenter of learning – a place where concepts and theories are introduced, learning should not stop there because there are things that can’t be experienced within the confines of a classroom.

Over the weekend, a group of Grade 10 students learned about LIFE outside the walls of STCQC. The Kampong Pinoy KASAMAHAN Group communed with Mother Nature during an overnight camping activity at the Stella Mariz Organic Farm in San Miguel Bulacan.

The Grade 10 ladies had a blast as they put their knowledge on survival skills to a test. Under the guidance of their KASAMAHAN Facilitators, Dr. Guinevere Sacdalan and Ms. Angelica Banta as well as Mr. Celso Rosanes, Jr., Camp Master and 4 senior scout rangers, the ladies participated in exciting outdoor activities such as navigating, decoding messages in Morse codes, tying knots, trekking, and water wading. They even tried their hands at planting rice and trees. It is without doubt, that their learnings during this outdoor experience from one of the greatest teachers ever - Mother Nature - will last them a lifetime.

Congratulations to the students and facilitators of KAMPONG PINOY!
Continue to let your light shine and be a blessing to others.
