THERESIAN AWARDEES IN THE 2021 DOST-SEI YOUTH EXCELLENCE IN SCIENCE AWARDS


The Department of Science and Technology – Science Education Institute (DOST -SEI) bestowed the 2021 Youth Excellence in Science (YES) Awards to elementary and high school students who showcased exemplary performance in various international competitions in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.


Three of our Theresians were among those who were conferred with this honor during the virtual DOST-SEI YES Awarding Ceremony last October 29, 2021.

THERESIAN MATH GENIUS WINS SILVER FOR THE PHILIPPINES

Grade 8 Theresian Math genius, DOMINIQUE JOY RUSTIA, brought home the Silver Award for the Philippines in the recently concluded Asia International Mathematical Olympiad (AIMO) Open Contest 2019.

The AIMO competition which was held at the Taipei University in Taiwan last August 5, 2019 was participated in by mathletes from other Asian countries.

DOST-SEI’S YOUTH EXCELLENCE AWARDS

Three of STCQC’s high school students were honored by the Department of Science & Technology – Science Institute (DOST-SEI) and the Department of Education (DepEd) for their outstanding performances and shining achievements in various international Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) competitions in 2018.

The DOST-SEI Youth Excellence Awards were awarded to the students last February 14, 2019 at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City, while the Department of Education’s Student Excellence Awards were conferred on them last March 14, 2029 at the SM Aura Premier.
