What is Teresa's Light?

 

               Teresa’s Light is an award of recognitiongiven to alumnae of St. Theresa’s College,Quezon City (STCQC) who, by their life and work, give full and radiant meaning to theTheresian name. Since STCQC was established in 1947, it has been molding young girls into women who will live the
highest Christian values inthe service of their families, their communities, the nation, the world.

               Through the years, a number of alumnae have been found exemplary and worthy ofemulation. They have kept their light shining,radiating it wherever they may be.They deserve to be recognized and honored thus Teresa's Light.

                Who can be nominated? A nominee must have had at least four years of education in STCQC, whether in the grade school or the high school department.

               She must have devoted at least five years to the field for which she is being cited. She must be a woman of faith, service, and missionary spirit who:

 

  • lives the Gospel values of justice, peace, truth, and love 
  • promotes the concept of a transformative society
  • maintains a vibrant relationship with God, people, and nature.

 

              A nominee may come from any of the following fields of endeavor: culture and the arts, education, science and innovative technology, parish or community service, family life, and national development.
