STCQC SENIOR HIGH STUDENTS SHOW THEIR WRITING PROWESS

Senior High School students, Janella Sales and Carmela Baba, won 1st and 2nd place respectively in the essay writing contest in the 5th UP Philosophy Conference entitled, "The Need to Philosophize: Understanding the Importance of Philosophy in the Different Tracks of the K-12 Basic Education. This activity was sponsored by the UP Kabataang Pilosopo Tasyo in partnership with the UP Alumni Association of Greater Chicago and the UP Department of Philosophy.

Janella and Carmela bested 36 other entries in the essay writing contest of the said conference which was participated in by 14 schools. The girls received their awards last Friday, September 16, 2016 at the UP College of Social Sciences and Philosophy. They were cheered on by their fellow Theresian delegates as well as their mentors and Philosophy teachers, Mr. Edmund Marquez and Mr. Christopher Joseph An.
