ROBOTICS…NOW A SUBJECT IN  STCQC JUNIOR HIGH

Robotics is not a novelty in STCQC.

In 2007, the Science of Robotics was made available to Theresians whose interest and passion lie in the field of technology - specifically the technology of robots – through the creation of the STCQC Robotics Team,  with six students  from different year levels as its initial members.

Through the years, Robotics gained popularity among the youth, so much so that more and more Theresians, who wanted to  know more about the design, construction, operation, and application of robots, and who dreamt of becoming a member  of the STCQC Robotics Team, signed up for skills training.

For the past decade, the STCQC Robotics Team has grown from its humble beginnings, and has been a regular and  active participant  in the annual Philippine Robotics Olympiad (PRO).  In fact, the STCQC Robotics Team was recognized by FELTA Multi Media, Inc. as the FIRST ALL GIRLS ROBOTICS TEAM to participate in the Philippine Robotics Olympiad.

STCQC,  recognizing the contribution of science and technology in society, as well as the increasing interest of the youth in technology, makes a move to extend to all high school students the opportunity to cultivate their interest and develop their skills in the field of Robotics. Thus, starting this school year 2017-2018, Robotics becomes a regular subject in Junior High and an elective subject  in Senior High.

Partnering with STCQC in this endeavor is FELTA Multi Media, Inc.
